The app follows google Material Design UI/UX standards while building on the already existing designs of The Hai’s website, which still has elements I want to brush up on. The next version of the app will consist of more Android friendly designs with tie-ins to the WordPress REST API, which should help the already quite fast load times for android be just that much faster for loading all the needed contents. If there are any suggestions, comments or concerns be sure to share them here or just email me @ kappa @ thehai.org
This app is a Music Genre Generator which has a fine wide collection of various genres to shuffle around and from to create some real genres like Surf-Rock all the way to wacky ones like Sunshine-Dubstep. This is all built with the easy ability to share with the android intents so that you can choose where you would like to share it to. Equally it is built with the ability to share with the native twitter app or with the mobile website if you don’t have that installed. Eventually the list of genres will expand but currently there are over 5000 different combinations so try to come across something that has never been done before. I’ve even made it easy to just click the ‘Search Youtube’ button and you can checkout the listings on Youtube for that genre tied with the native google tools Youtube to avoid tying up your android device.
Genre Generator was all built around the concept that you could always use more genres to work with as a musician so that you could never get bored especially as an electronic musician. And maybe you can find something so obscure that you can make the first version of the genre ever or even challenge your friends to create it.
Is their latest full release which is a stereophonic recipe of driven rock with a tasteful helping of shoegaze and synthpop all tied together by a dash of scotch. The album is by far my favorite release of the Flying Batteries with vast amounts of color and dynamic range across their rocking album. This time around they even have tracks like Faded Smile which have just a touch of similarity to other pop hits from the 2000’s. Be sure to checkout the full album, or even buy the CD.
Decompose by Water Gun Water Gun Sky Attack and A Problem Like Maria still holds a fond memory of how a zombies theme can be incorporated with robotics and electronic dance music. The music entirely speaks for itself and also reminds me of the point where I created my first proper remix. Factoring the time of year and the weather’s slow change in the northwest, I figured it was perfect to share for this weekends’ enjoyment.
So far, as the details are released about this final Nujabes and Shing02 single called Perfect Circle, we know that it will be a 12″ record through Hydeout Productions, and will include the typical instrumental, and A cappella.
Here is the official release now featured on youtube:
Perfect Circle will be released on October 7th, this year (2015). Early samples of the instrumental were provided by Shing02 having some fun and showing off his skills on the Vestax Faderboard down below:
It also appears according to the Hydeout site: http://hydeout.net/ that there is a remix produced by Uio Loi who’s soundcloud we can find here: https://soundcloud.com/uioloi or examples of his more uptempo chip EDM oriented music like this track:
It will be interesting to see how these remixes turn out. More details will be shared as soon as they are made available.
